Sandy Ludington

 Sandy Ludington began her career with LHO in January 2012. In May of that same year, she graduated WTAMU with her Masters in Professional Accounting. Sandy has several years of experience in the accounting field & is a QuickBooks Pro Specialist. She has 3 children & 8 grandchildren and enjoys following the grandkids to their many band & sporting events.

   J. Rex Lemert is the senior partner in Lemert, Holder, & Ohm, PLLC an accounting firm offering services to the public.   Over the years the firm has offered accounting services such as payroll, income tax planning and preparation, estate planning, gift planning, retirement planning, entity selection, and trusts.  Clients include ranchers, farmers, feedyards, commodity firms, medical practices, oil and gas companies, real estate developers, and small businesses. 

 

He served in the US Army from 1967 – 1969.  Operational assignments include:  MACV, serving as an intelligence advisor from 1968 – 1969. 

 

He has an Associate in Arts Degree from New Mexico Military Institute, a Bachelor Business Administration from the University of Texas in Austin, and a Master of Professional Accounting from West Texas A&M University in Canyon, Texas.

 

He is Co-chair of the Campaign Executive Committee for the Texas Panhandle War Memorial Education Center. The objective of the Center is to honor and remember the sacrifices our veterans have made for our country and to keep history alive by providing a generational learning environment through state-of-the-art multi-media informational techniques.

 

He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants, National Cattlemen’s Association, and the Texas Cattle Feeders Association.

 

He is Treasurer for the Texas Panhandle War Memorial, has served on the Texas Senate Academy Selection Nomination Board, has served two terms as president of the Board of Trustees for the Amarillo Museum of Art, past Deacon and Finance committee member for the First Presbyterian Church of Amarillo, past member of the tax committee of the Texas Cattle Feeders Association, past co-chair of the Amarillo Symphony Ball, member of the Amarillo Area Foundation Professional Advisors Council, and past president of Gunstream Land Corporation.

 

He is president of Millie Corp., a farm and ranch operation in southwest Kansas and southeast Colorado and is managing partner of B. H. Lemert & Sons located in Liberal, Kansas.

 

He is married to Mary Nell Lemert and they have two children and five grandchildren.

Luke Holder began his accounting career in 1998 when he accepted a position with BDO Seidman in their New York City office located in mid-town Manhattan on Madison Avenue. He spent the bulk of his time with BDO as a consultant to G.E. Capital. Luke moved back to his hometown of Amarillo, TX in 2001 and took a job with Rex Lemert as a professional staff member. Luke passed the CPA exam in 2003 and began his career as a Federal tax professional.

 

He specializes in Federal and State taxation for businesses from all industries; Federal and State taxation for estates, trusts and individuals; entity selection and formation; higher level tax planning strategies to minimize the client’s tax burden; and retirement plan selection. 

 

Luke is a licensed life insurance agent and offers life insurance consulting for a broad range of goals; including survivorship, estate planning, and wealth accumulation.

 

Mike Ohm, CPA, MBA

Mike Ohm graduated from West Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in General Business with emphasis in Management, Marketing, and Economics in 1999.  In 2001, he earned his Master of Business Administration in General Business with emphasis in Economics. Mike began his professional career in 1999 as a staff accountant with J. Rex Lemert P.C.  and became a licensed CPA in 2008.  In 2012 he joined forces with Rex Lemert and Luke Holder and became a partner with the firm.

 

He specializes in Federal and State tax preparation and planning, which encompasses individuals, partnerships, corporations, trusts, estates, and gift returns. Mike represents a broad group of clients including individuals and businesses in the medical, legal, agricultural, real estate, oil and gas, insurance industries, and small businesses. He also assists clients with entity formation/selection, asset liability protection, IRS and State audits and disputes, sales and property taxes, retirement planning for businesses and individuals.

 

Additionally, in 2014 Mike obtained his Life, Accident, Health & HMO general lines insurance license in order to assist and provide more service to his clients. With this license he can provide clients not only with insurance needs, but also incorporate it into overall tax, business and estate plans.

 

On a personal note, Mike is married with two children. He is active in the community volunteering with several organizations and as a youth sports coach/director. He enjoys golf, baseball, and spending quality time with his family

   

Jeremy Goelzer, CPA

Jeremy Goelzer graduated from West Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Business Administration with a major in Accounting in 1993.  He began his public accounting career in 1995 as a staff accountant with Wilson, Haag, and Co. assisting the firm’s clients with field audits and income tax preparation. Jeremy obtained his license as a CPA during 2002 and has over 20 years of experience in the public accounting profession. In 2018 he joined his client base and knowledge with Lemert, Holder, & Ohm, PLLC. Jeremy specializes in Federal and State tax preparation and planning for individuals and all types of business entities. He also specializes in Federal and State taxation for estates, trusts, and gift tax returns. Jeremy represents a diverse group of clients from various industries and professional services as well as small businesses. He also assists clients with entity selection and planning, IRS audit representation and correspondence, and transactions involving the sale or acquisition of existing Businesses. Jeremy is married with one daughter and two grandchildren. He enjoys fishing, golf, all types of music, and traveling with his wife Tonya.

 

Dale Turner, Firm Administrator

 Dale Turner began his career with Lemert, Holder & Ohm in March 2008. He is a lifelong Texas Panhandle resident. Spending most of his career in agriculture gives him insight into an industry that is both key to the Panhandle economy and challenging. Dale spends most of his firm time working behind the scenes keeping the firm wheels churning. He is also versed in human resources, bookkeeping, payroll and state & federal tax filings. He is married to De-An and has two sons, Dustin & Anthony. His philosophy on life that “we are not put on earth to serve ourselves” motivates him to work with inner city kids through various volunteer efforts.

 

Sandy Ludington, Accounting & Payroll Manager

Ann Hendershot, Receptionist / Office Assistant

 Ann Hendershot joined Lemert, Holder & Ohm in April 2007. Her friendly attitude & kind demeanor has given her the unofficial title of “Chief First Impressions Officer”. She and her husband have one daughter and a grand-dog. The family enjoys traveling together whenever possible.

 

Christina Johnson, Account Manager

 Christina Johnson started working at Lemert, Holder & Ohm in November 2014. She has more than 15 years accounting and payroll experience. 

 

Renee’ Lusk, Account Manager

 Renee’ Lusk has been with Lemert, Holder & Ohm since August 2014.  She graduated with a Bachelor Degree in Accounting from Oklahoma University in May of 1992.  Renee' has seven years of accounting experience with First Capital Corporation of Oklahoma City.  She also spent nine years teaching  6th, 7th, and 8th grade math at Millwood Arts Academy in Oklahoma City.  She has three children, ages 25, 23, and 20.  She loves playing piano and watching football.

 

Elizabeth Lopez, Account Manager

 Elizabeth Lopez has been with Lemert, Holder & Ohm since March 2016.  She graduated in 2006 with her Bachelor Degree in Accounting from the University of Phoenix.  Elizabeth has several years of experience in the accounting field and has been even named a Systems, Applications & Product (SAP) super user.  She enjoys spending time with her eight nephews, two nieces and loves to travel with her husband Mark & his baseball team. 

 

Dan Brown, Professional Staff

 Dan Brown has been with Lemert, Holder & Ohm since 2005. He has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from West Texas A&M University & has completed the requirements to become a CPA candidate. Dan is a member of the Panhandle Producer and Royalty Owners Association & specializes in oil & gas joint interest billing and revenue distribution. Dan is married, has two grown sons and two grandchildren. In his leisure time, Dan likes to relax by playing guitar and being with his family.

 

Kevin Smith, Tax Manager

 Kevin Smith started working at Lemert Holder & Ohm in 2012 as an entry level bookkeeper. In May of 2014 he graduated from West Texas A&M University. Kevin has several years of experience in the accounting field & specializes in tax. His niche for tax has advanced him to the position of Tax Manager. Kevin enjoys working out & maintaining a healthy life style.

 

Clay McNeely, Professional Tax Staff

 Clay McNeely joined Lemert, Holder & Ohm in March 2014 with numerous years of office management and accounting experience in agriculture and education.  He is a native of Hereford, active member of the Church of Christ, accomplished National Forensic League member, devout Saab enthusiast, and avid piano and euphonium hobbyist.  Clay is honored to be the husband of his beautiful wife, Holly, father of their two children, Anika and Ari, and to serve on the Hereford Independent School District Board of Trustees.

 

Kristina Geiser, Associate Staff

Kristina has been with Lemert, Holder & Ohm since May 2016 as an intern. She graduates from West Teas A&M University in May 2016 with her BBA & is applying for the Master of Professional Accounting program which begins in the fall of 2017. She enjoys spending time with her family, fishing, hunting and racing.

Alli Hawkins, Professional Tax Staff

Alli has been with Lemert, Holder & Ohm since August 2018. She graduated from West Texas A&M University in August 2015 with her Bachelors in Business Administration and in August 2016 with her
Masters in Professional Accounting. She has worked in tax accounting since August 2014 under Jeremy Goelzer. She enjoys spending time and traveling with her husband Andrew.
